Package Discounting

I am fairly new to using pricing rules and wondering if its possible to using pricing rules with packages? Has anyone done it? Very interested to know!

Scenario: 3 different discounting levels pending how many plays you pick in a package:

  • 5% discount when you choose 2-5 plays
  • 10% discount when you choose 6-9 Plays
  • 20% discount whe  you choose 10-16 plays

So rather than have 3 seperate packages all with their own seperate pricetypes is it possible to have one dynamic package "to rule them all" where once you add a 6th play  to your package all the tickets within that package get 10% off.

  • Heya Bonnie,

We use pricing rules for our 3+ film packages, instead of using flex packages, to keep things simple for our users. I think you might be able to get away with this with 3 separate Product Volume price rules, one for the 2-5 tier, one for the 6-9 tier and one for the 10+tier, all using the price-type you'd like to use. BUT we use this with single tickets and we do not use the actual package section, so not sure what the behavior would be in that particular section of TNEW.
