Hello all!
Our organization issues Gift Certificates via Tessitura, and then after the balance has been transferred to the certificate number, we use a Zebra P330i to print off a physical gift card (about the size of a credit card). We currently just have a template for the gift-card printer where we can quickly input the Certificate number and corresponding barcode. Our gift cards are all pre-made except for the space to fill in the number/barcode.
Our P330i is showing its age so we're starting to figure out an upgrade situation. If anyone has a similar card printing pipeline, I'd love to hear from anyone about good potential printer models to review!
We currently don't have a dire need for color printing or double sided printing, since the cards are already pre-designed. The key for our current setup is just the quick insertion of the barcode/number details. We also don't sell a particularly high volume of gift-cards, so speed and large batches are not a dire need either. Our current setup is actually through an un-networked pc that has all of our templates though, so if we can at least upgrade to a printer that can connect to our network so our whole ticketing team can initiate prints from their workstations that would be a fantastic step up!
But given the low volume of inventory we move, budget is definitely also a considerable factor.
Happy to hear any thoughts/input! Thanks everyone!
We use a LEMUR-2 Boca dual printer. We purchase ticket/receipt stock from Boca. It is thermal plastic. Very difficult to tear. You provide them the design you want on the front and back of the stock. If you are going to the TLCC, I bet they will be there with samples.
