Greetings
Hope that this finds everyone well.
A new Promo Code is in the works, that is to be available only for certain performances. Rather than open the whole season to this code, I am hoping there is a way to limit it so that only the Friday / Saturday evenings appear to those clicking on the link.
Is there a way, for example, of adding something to link that will do this? Or another method?
I've had a look here - https://www.tessituranetwork.com/TNEW_7/Content/Topics/Building_Links_to_Your_Site.htm - but nothing is jumping out at me.
Grateful for any / all assistance.
Thank you
John C
John,
It is going to depend more on how you set up the promo code than the link itself. The link should likely still end up being just the normal link with the embedded promo code. But in the promo code set up, you are going to either want to do one of two things. Either use the promo code to enable a MOS shift to a new MOS which is limited to the performances you mention, or else you are going to want to use Offers to lock/unlock the discounted price type on the requisite performances. There are benefits and disadvantages to each method, but either one should get you what you want.

I tend to use pricing rules sometimes to limit the offer to the show or shows it is valid for. And I can also limit the section or zones the offer is good for. Also, when I build out the link, I add the Perf ID's along with the promo code, so they are only looking at the shows the offer is valid for. That way they pick the date and continue on the purchase path.
Hi John,
As John A. Moskal II mentioned - you can just add the applicable performances in the Mode of Sale that you're using for the promo code. Another way to do this (which I like and use a lot) is to use a Keyword. Create a new Keyword in the TR_KW system table, then add that keyword into the promo applicable performances. You can then create a direct, promo-embedded link which filters by keyword: k=[keyword]www.tessituranetwork.com/.../TNEW.htm
AfternoonThank you all for the great suggestions. It is much appreciated.
I'm sure that all will be tried in due course. In this instance the Keyword and adapted URL seems to have done the trick.Have a great weekend ahead.
