Hi,
In a package is it possible to limit the choice of performances the customer can select based on their 'first' selection?
We have an annual christmas event that when booking a slot to see Santa needs an accompanying general gate admission ticket. My concern is if we did it as a package customers may book to see Santa for example on 1st December at 2pm but then be faced with a huge list of gate admission tickets for all of December and in the process purchase on for the wrong date. Is it possible then to make the choice selection relative to the first selected 'performance'?
Thanks,
Our (flex) packages are built from performance groups. Each package is comprised of a perf group of 'tour' tickets on a particular day, plus a perf group of museum admission for the day (admission usually only has one item in the group)
This assures the tours and admission are only available for the same day, We build a 'perfect' day, then use production creation sets to replicate the packages for each day.
Here's what it looks like on TNEW: https://my.ringling.org/packages
(We don't have multiple tours at this time so each perf group only has one performance in it)
Very nice! I'm in process with the same type of setup for an upcoming exhibition combo. https://my.mfah.org/packages We don't love the package listing page, but, it's a huge step above pricing rules and triggered messaging (which we've done in the past).
We have a custom Package Build Utility tool - did you find a way to build perf groups and packages in Product Creation? I would love that.
FYI - if you want to change the "See Dates and Seating Options" button to custom text, you can do so under Product Editor > Performance Product Class > [Production Season]. The fields are Show/Hide "Event/Item Options Link Text" (can also change the field "Event/Item Select List Field Label"). It took me forever to find it. The only thing is you have to update every production season.
