Printing Wrsitbands for Access Control

Hi,

I can see this has been asked many times over the years, but I can't see an answer.

Does anyone print wristbands instead of tickets that can be scanned by NSCAN for access control? If so, can you share how you do it? What hardware do you use, and do you have a ticket template in Tessitura or do you export the data?

Thanks

Brian

  • Hello Brian! This is Amelia with Tessitura Network Support. I can see from our records that you also created a Support ticket for this matter. We discovered that, while we don't currently have any organizations directly printing to wristbands, some have found a workaround of sorts by printing ticket seat numbers onto mailing labels, and then sticking these on a wristband which is issued to attendees. We also encouraged you to post this to the ideas board, and it looks like you have! Thank you for all of your contributions, we truly appreciate you sharing your ideas with us. If you have any additional follow-up, questions, or concerns, please let us know any time.

  • Hi Brian,

I previously worked for an organization where we did print barcodes directly on wristbands, but it's been many years and I don't remember too much. I believe we used a boca wristband printer, also used their stock. It did require a new ticket design, but nothing custom there. I do remember that we had multiple colors and a white wristband too. The colors were awful and left a paint residue inside the printer that required extra cleaning and it was difficult to scan the barcodes on the different colors. Would recommend only using white.

Hope that is of some help.

  • Not sure how fancy you want to get but you can buy laser printable sheets of wristbands and do a MSword merge off columns from the order export utility.
