Hi everyone
A bit of an unusual one. I'm keen to get a sense of the biggest events that Tessi and T-New can handle in its out-of-the-box format. Particularly interested in numbers - sales per day, and sales overall for your biggest exhibition or production. I'd appreciate any examples of situations where Tessi has really been pushed and performed majestically!
Thanks so much!
Hey Tash! You would have seen this no doubt. TNEW is a little more of a known quantity but as my psychiatrist will attest the # of orders and size of cart can depend on the amount and complexity of the associated API calls. In a huge package onsale with allocations etc you can quickly get server load to 100% where it might not with single tickets.
Important: If you anticipate traffic to be above the high volume recommendations for TNEW (45 orders per minute with a maximum of 300 simultaneous shopping carts), open a support ticket so that we may assist you in monitoring your high volume on-sale or virtual event.https://www.tessituranetwork.com/TNEW_7/TNEW.htm#Topics/High-Volume_On-Sales.htm
Hi Heath! Thank you, I had forgotten about that stat so I appreciate the refresher. I think Queue It would be a good option too. We don't use packages, just timed GA sessions, so fairly simple builds and transactions thankfully. You raise a good point though, its more about load at once on the system rather than across the span of an exhibition. Thank you!
I think you'll be good but Queue-It is worth it just in case (and set it up early).
Hi Tash and Heath - I just wanted to chime in and say that we also used Queue-It this season, and it made the whole thing much smoother not just for our patrons, but for us as well. We had a free event, which we built in a GA facility. We even staggered our emails throughout the day so that they didn't go out to our entire database at once, but TNEW would have still been overloaded if we didn't have Queue-It.
