Greetings All!
I am doing a little research in preparation for a possible ticket restructuring and was hoping to dip into the Tessitura brain trust to make some assumptions/predictions.
During the pandemic, we switched from a subscription model, but during when the pandemic hit, we switched to a "Membership" model granting early booking access and discount tickets but without requiring up-front performance payment. This was in response to the increased desire among ticket buyers for increased flexibility. We are considering returning to a subscription model for next season. For those of you who have maintained this model, what kind of bounce-back have you seen after the pandemic? Are you seeing numbers return to what they were before the pandemic or do your constituents still seem hesitant to make the commitment to a full subscription?
Any trends or information you are noticing and willing to share would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
We have found that our subscription numbers have dropped, however, we are planning on going to a more flex model next year as that will give our subscribers the flexibility of date selection and seat selection that they've been asking for. We will not have a fixed subscription model next year.
