Is there a way to test delayed delivery of PAH tickets?

Hi everyone.  I'm building our 2023 season (July/August), and I'm implementing delayed delivery of print-at-home tickets.  I've set the e-ticket release date as 7 days prior to the performance.  But I always like to confirm that the PAH ticket is delivering properly with some test tickets both from TNEW and from the application.  Of course, with the delayed delivery, I can't get the ticket yet.  I did an order with an order date within the 7 days before the performance (6/28/2023 for a 6/30/2023 performance), but I'm still not receiving a PAH ticket email.  When I look at the order history, there is still an event date of today (11/7/22).  I was wondering if any of you Tessitura whizzes had some suggestions.

Thanks,  Lee Ann

  • Those first few Eticket Delivery days were super nerve wracking for me! What I do is create an order in TEST Tessitura (or set up a show to be on sale on our dev site for test - we don't have TNEW) in Box Office mode of sale for a future show. I feel safe using Box Office MOS because all of my rollovers will be in Subscription MOS. Then, I go into the particular performance and change the Eticket Release Date on Box Office MOS only to the past - so if I was doing this now, I'd change it to 11/1/22, for instance. If everything is a-ok, the tickets should PAH within moments. I like this because I can make sure that the tickets are both not printing when I do not want them to, and printing when I say it's OK.

You can also do this for Prod as long as you are using a MOS that isn't going to accidentally print any tickets you don't want to print! Now that we've gone through 1.5 seasons with Eticket Release in place, I probably will just test in TEST from now on because Eticket Release has been really reliable.

I think the TPS is comparing today's date to the order date to decide what tickets to queue up, so it won't PAH your test ticket until today's date is greater than the Eticket Release Date on the MOS of the order. I will also mention that we had to open a support ticket to get our TPS settings slightly updated - I believe there is a setting called Days in Past, which up until now has probably defaulted to 0, but we updated it to 365, I believe. This value is the number of days in the past that the TPS will look for qualifying orders. Since your test show is so far in the future, this might be tanking your test as well.
