Time slots

We are looking at tweaking our time slots (tr_time_slot) a little.  Some ?'s:

  • Are there issues w/ editing a time slot (as opposed to creating a new one)?
  • Can start and end times overlap? 
  • Do start/end times trigger things within Tessitura, or are they just informational?

    The start and end times on time slots are used to automatically select a time slot when you are setting up a performance.  So when you enter a time for a performance, whichever time slot encompasses that time is chosen by default, though you can of course manually change it.  There should be no problems editing the existing time slots.  If you set up overlapping times the default selection of time slots either wouldn’t work (nothing would be selected) or only one of the two overlapping time slots (probably the one with the higher ID) would ever be chosen.
