I'm having difficulty setting up a Pricing Rule. I want the result to be this:
When someone purchases a VIP tour spot, 1-5 tickets for Timed Admission are swapped to Comp. Basically, we want the tour attendees (up to 5) to get free admission.
I created a Pricing Rule:
I selected both Production Seasons:
I selected 'Standard' (for 'VIP Tour') and 'ETIX Adult/Child/Senior' (for '2022 Timed Admission').
I set up the mapping (I had to choose something for the 1st Price Type, so I swapped it into itself)
I added this rule into all the possible Pricing Rule Sets
However, when I go into Order Details and select one 'Standard' Price Type from a VIP Encounter, and some ETIX AD/CH from Timed Admission, the Price Types don't change. Another, unrelated Pricing Rule fires (a message only), but not the VIP Tour Comp GAT Pricing Rule.
2 questions:
1. What am I doing wrong?2. Have other folks put together such a discount?
I think I figured out a solution, but not an answer. I used an 'Add-on' Pricing Rule, rather than a Multiple Price Type rule, and it is working!I'd still like answers as to why this first version didn't work, however.
For a Multiple Price Type rule, all the tickets need to be for the same product in order to trigger the rule, which is why it wasn't working.
Gotcha- thanks for the clarification!
