Performance Not Associated With Promo Code Available

Hello everyone,

I've been setting up promo codes in preparation for our single ticket on sale. I've built promo codes for both our fiftieth anniversary concert and Carmen. Each performance has its own unique promo codes, but there is a price type in common (BOGO) and both use the same MOS (Web Promo).

When I use the web promo MOS and enter a promo code associated a price type other than BOGO with Carmen, I'm still able to select the fiftieth anniversary concert and purchase tickets at the BOGO price.

How do I ensure that only the performance associated with the promo code is available?

Thank you,

Laura

  • Hi Laura - we do something similar with blocking promo codes. We create one source for the year called "Dummy" and we add it as an "offer" into the performance, MOS and PT that you don't want to see under another promo. In the scenario that you have, you would add an offer into the Mode of Sale for your fiftieth anniversary performance, and associate it with the BOGO PT.

The most ideal scenario would be to use different MOS for each offer so that only the performance available for the specified promo are visible.
