Package holds

Hello all,

I was hoping someone can help us.

We have a number of bought seats already in the theatre for subscribers and need to put some additional seats on hold before the public singles onsale. Is there a way to do this at a per package level so that we don't capture any seats that are already sold? The only way I know of to do this is one performance at a time.

Any help would be appreciated

  • Hi Megan,

You can do this through Season Maintenance.  When you create your list of performances, keep Search For set to Performances and then select a package from the Package dropdown.  All the performances in the selected package are added to the list.  When you to the Hold Codes tab, don’t select any of the performances on the list, and then go to the View Map tab.  It defaults to a composite map of all the performances, just like the composite map you see when seating a package.  When you apply a hold to that map it will be applied to all performances on the list, effectively holding a seat for the package.

  • I'm trying to do this right in Version 10. We have 6 plays in three different halls. I want to put seats on hold in all of the first week performances for every production in each of the venues. I think I understand that I have to choose all the productions in the same house for all of the tabs to show up. I can only do one venue at a time. I don't understand why it's not letting me choose all of the first Wednesdays (in our case 1B package). It's giving me each day in the package but not a view of all of the 1Gs. I guess that's because some of the plays are in different theatres. But why won't it show me a composite map of all the productions in each theater as a package view. Right now I have to write down what seats are in hold for the first Wednesday of one production then go to the next production and try and match those seat locations up plus we have different price ranges I have to put on sale. There has to be an easier way.
