Hi All
We have a patron at our venue that is flagged as a warning/handle with care. Now while we dont want to particlarly "ban" him from attending events, we do alert front of house and management when he purchases a ticket over the phone/counter as the staff can see his "flagged patron" constiuency tag and CSI's we have set up for him. We recently had an incident where he attended without knowledge to the Box Office staff as he purchased through TNEW so venue staff were not properly informed and prepared.
My question is, is there a way to set up an alert when a purchase is made through TNEW that goes to myself and other members of management staff when a patron has a particular constituency tag?
Many thanks!
Something similar actually came up at our org recently as well, where we wanted to keep an eye on purchases made by certain major donors so we could flag their engagement before our standard attendance reports are emailed out.
I'm testing a solution using pulse notification in Analytics to avoid sending a lot of empty reports out to the team. As a caveat, this is brand new and still in its Beta testing phase, so I can't speak to its ongoing effectiveness, but thought I'd share my set-up below in case you'd like to test this method as well!
First, I built an Analytics dashboard with pivot type widgets for all orders (regardless of season or type) with an order date of yesterday, with constituent details. I then filtered the dashboard by constituent ids for the donors we wanted to keep an eye on, but you can also filter by a list if you already have a watchlist set up.
Next, I built an indicator widget that totals the number of orders made yesterday by the constituents I am filtering the dashboard by.
Finally, I set up a Pulse based on that widget with the below parameters:
I then added everyone who needs to be alerted to the distribution list for the pulse (and shared the dashboard with them)
This alert will then send out via email anytime there are any orders in the dashboard, and allow the recipients to be able to click directly into the dashboard in Tessitura On the Go to see what was purchased.
Like I said, this set up is very new, and I'll give an update here after we have run it for a bit, but let me know if you have any questions in the meantime!
Amelia, what a great idea! Any update on how it's working?
