Hello Tessitura Hive-mind - hoping someone out there may have a solution for this conundrum!
Can you have a super package which allows for different ticket delivery methods on the sub-packages within it? We are doing a film festival with both onsite and online films, and I am curious if there is a way to allow for the onsite films portion to only get a PAH ticket delivery, while the online films only get an Online Event delivery (which is watched via TNEW gated Content). If we are setting our LTR_TNEW_DYN_SHIPPING_METHOD so that at the Production Season level, the events within would default to either PAH (onsite) or Online Event (online), and both sets of events are in the same season. But does this extend to how a Super Package looks at the delivery of items within it?
We've not yet dipped our toes into the Super Package pool, but since it states in documentation that this is a common usage for things which may have different facilities being combined into a greater package grouping, I am hoping that the delivery method might also be able to be unique to each sub-package/facility.
Any assistance, tips, or "turn back now" advice you may have would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Anne
My first instinct would be no, you can't have different delivery methods, as delivery method is order based not sub line order based.
Hi Jessica,
That was my thought, as well, until I looked at the particulars around E-ticket delayed delivery. My thought was since the in-person events within the one onsite sub-package were tied to a design with a set single ticket PAH PDF, and the online events within the online sub-package are set to a design with no PAH PDF, if we set the e-ticket date for when the online films can begin to be viewed and the onsite perfs e-ticket date left empty (or set with the date that events went onsale), I believe it should pick up the onsite tix, send them, and not do anything with the online ones. I suspect I will just need to set up a test of this at some point, just to see how it behaves. We aren't using composite tix, so the e-ticket route may be a way around the way items in the order get picked up for printing/sending.
We may also not use a super package, as the way we count attendance for in person is different from our online events, so this question may end up being more of an info-gathering for things down the road.
