reprints done by a consortium member at an offsite venue

We have a consortium member that is operating some shows at a new building, not in our normal building of Overture Center. They are at a building that we do not operate out of at all, and it is essentially a second home for them.

Now that they are running shows there, we are having issues with patrons that show up that need reprints, etc., but the orders are done in Modes of Sale and/or with price types that their user group doesn't have access to- basically purchases done through our website or home box office. It's causing problems.

Any thoughts on how to figure out a way to give them access to reprinting tickets, without giving them access to modes of sale and price types they shouldn't be able to sell in? The only workaround I've come up with is setting a bulk print reprint option using a list that has the customer number, but that feels cumbersome to have to do every time. They have been using house passes, but they want to record the attendance, and it's also a pain to have to go back after each show to mark tickets in each order as attended.

  • Jess,

Reasonably possible that this could be just as cumbersome/irritating in the end, but what about the idea of setting up a separate user group for reprints?  Give them access to all the MOSes and Price Types that they need, but take away that user group's ability to take payments, sell tickets, etc...  Basically just give that user group the minimum amount they would need to be able to reprint tickets.  (I have never tried to do just that, but I would ASSUME that that is possible with the right application of Security objects.)

Again, that would essentially force all reprints to be done by one person or else everyone to quick re-login every time they needed to do a reprint.  But maybe that is a solution that is liked better as it would allow more specific and targeted sub-lineitem printing.

    Best of luck!
