My theatre org introduced a new Season Pass program this year, and in our postmortem phase, we're now looking at how to improve for next year. One of our major pain points this year was the inability to fully book these Passes online.
Some context: These are Fixed-seat packages offering either 3 or 4 of the shows we offer through the season. The guest makes the initial purchase of the season pass, then comes back at a later date to redeem that pass for the actual tickets. We are able to facilitate the initial purchase online fairly easily. What we are not able to do is redeem the seats online, allowing a guest to book all 3 (or 4) of the shows' tickets at once. With our set up this year, every guest who bought a pass had to call our Box Office and speak to a person to redeem their pass. It goes without saying that this created a huge workload for our BO staff and was very inefficient. I'm looking for other theatre/museum orgs who book passes this way (the two-step process of Buy, then Redeem), and use TNEW as your website purchase path. Are you able to complete the entire process online? If so, how?
It should also be said that I and many on my team are new to our organization and relatively new to Tessitura, so if there is a way to do this effectively, we may just not know it yet.
