Continuing timed entry post COVID restrictions?

Hello Everyone. I was hoping that I can put this informal survey out there and some folks would be willing to answer a 5 question survey?  A reply here or email me at michelle.clabaugh@state.mn.us would be great. We are looking ahead and trying to decided if continuing timed entry is really beneficial. If you don't mind taking a few minutes, your feedback is greatly appreciated.

  1. Do you currently use timed entry and/or advance reservations?

  1. Do you plan to continue timed entry and/or advance reservations when COVID capacity restrictions expire? If so, are you also fully restoring your onsite ticketing box office for walk ups?

  1. What advantages to timed entry and/or advance reservations were most important as to why you are retaining this option?

  1. Do you plan to incentivize advance reservations to steer visitor to planning ahead or do you feel that is now a expectation to your visitors and expiring restrictions will not change that?

  1. Do you use mobile ticketing? Can your visitors self-scan for entry?

  • At the Arvada Center we:

    1. Yes we use timed entry for our gallery exhibitions

2.We plan on continuing to use timed entry and our Box Office has continued to be on site throughout the pandemic.

    3. We now have accurate data on what our peak gallery visiting times are and by having hard data of actual gallery visits we qualify for grant funding that we didn't qualify for before. And we now know who is interested in our galleries, which means we can contact them to see if they would want to donate toward our galleries, which we did not have that option before.

    4. We do not currently planon incentivizing advance reservations.

    5. We use mobile ticketing and hard tickets. Visitors can not self scan. We use volunteers our staff do this.
