Best seat in a new section of an old facility

Hi all,

I've built a new GA section on an existing facility, and am unable to get the Best Seat function to work on the new section, but it does work on the previously existing sections.  Our IS department has run the upgrade scripts, I have checked everything I can think of, and run the "validate completeness" function, but still can't find anything wrong.  Can any of you brilliant people help me?

Thanks in advance,

Lesley

  • What do you mean when you say it won’t work?   It is selecting seats somewhere else or it is not selecting any seats and/or giving you an error?  I might have some suggestions to try once I know which.

  • When we try to best seat it we get a message that says "Could not find seats for specified criteria" If we look at the seats in this zone in tx_perf seat, there. It may be noteworthy to say that the rank and fill_sequence_num columns are all null for the pkg_no/ perf_no / zone to which Lesley refers. Also when we run UP_POPULATE_TX_PERF_SEAT for the season we're tying to update, it runs successfully , but it says that 0 rows are being updated throughout, be it for perf, base, or composite seats.

  • I took a little look at UP_POPULATE_TX_PERF_SEAT in our test system. I stripped the cursor out and just looked at one performance. In the 0 package insert, if we comment out the second line of the where clause we get 4553 rows, but if we include it, we get 0 rows. I wonder if this has anything to do with our problem.
