We're working with a consultant to re-scale our hall and and pricing structure for the upcoming season, however, we have been selling subscriptions since February and they are paid, seated, and printed at this point. I had hoped we could create a new zone map to apply to the performances for single tickets, but apparently the facility/zone map cannot be changed after pricing has been established. Is there a way to "expire" a zone map for a show like we can for the price maps? Or is there a way to apply the zone map to a specific MOS such as single tickets?
I suspect the answer to both the above is no, which brings me to the next part of my question: if we take the original zone map and repaint it with the new zones in Facility Manager, how will that affect tickets (subs and pre-sold singles) already sold? Will it ignore them as it does in Season maintenance or will it mess things up?
Any advice on how to accomplish the mid-season rezoning is most welcome!
Thank you,
MarcyKate
Does anyone have any further updates on this topic? We are also mid season and looking at rezoning our hall but have obviously sold many subscription packages already. I have rezoned via Season Maintenance (on our test system) and see that the sold/reserved seats do not get affected, which is great. However, our package seat map still shows the original zones (though the new zone displays when the seat is reserved) - I know it has to do with the composite seat map, but not sure how to resolve this so that the new zones show at the package level as well as the performance level. Secondly, if we were to rezone this way by performance, rather than for all shows, how do we get around the "mixed" zones when trying to purchase a subscription - for example, for the first show the seat may have been rezoned from B to A but for the other 3 shows it is still at B - ideally we would want the package to remain at the B price but this way it is sold as one A and three B seats....
Are there any other ways that you can suggest that we could do this rezoning mid season?
Thanks!
