Hello there. Our Marketing department is wanting to change up our fee structure based on the amount of money the patron pays per ticket. They are proposing one fee for price zone 1-4 then waived for price zone 5 & 6. I thought maybe the price range on the fee set up might work but there is a fee for every concert weekend # to its own GL, we price by day of the week and dynamic price often. I just think that would be messy. I proposed setting up the fee as a percentage of the ticket cost and they are mulling that over. I also suggested embedding the per ticket fee like we do our facility fee. I think they like the patron seeing the service fee on the web though. Do you have any other suggestions?

We are using the price range feature and breaking fees out across three price ranges, but we also use a single GL for all of our handling fees regardless of production, so we’re only maintaining three fees per season. If consolidating your fees to a single GL is not an option, and you can get the team on board with using a set percentage across all zones, then ‘Amount is Percent’ is probably your best bet to keep from creating multiple fees for each weekend (which, I imagine, could get cumbersome!)
