Ticket Design - Naming

Our organization has 4 main venues for which we are ticketing.  We currently have MANY unused ticket designs.  I am looking at consolidating these ticket designs and would like input for a naming process.

Our ticket designs vary depending on venue location, reserved or GA, # lines for ticket text and I am considering to following:

CAP -  RSVD - 3ln - Brcd

(Venue - res/GA - lines - Barcode)

We also have some concert artists with specific font size requirements.  For those, I use the following:

CAP -  Rsvd - 3ln - Brcd 75/25/100

Does anyone have any better suggestions for this?

Thank you,

Tina

  • Hi Tina,

My former colleague Angela Leftwich did some excellent redesign and consolidation a few years ago.

We have a ticket design that is interchangeable for all 4 of our venues on campus. Essentially the variations on our ticket designs come down to is the presenter TPAC or one of our Resident Companies, then is the ticket GA vs. Reserved.

Essentially for us our naming convention comes down to

Presenter - GA/Reserved - Ticket Design number IF ticket can be sent PAH.

    Examples with our naming convention:
TPAC Standard 2011 -- TPAC's ticket for a reserved house, PAH template number 2011.
TPAC GA Standard 2062 - TPAC's standard ticket for a GA house, PAH template number 2062
NRep Standard 2117 - Nashville Rep standard ticket for reserved house, PAH template 2117

Hard to know without seeing your ticket designs/facility setup, but you may be able to simply some of your templates.

  • Hi Jeremy,

I am curious how the "venue" and "address" are printed on your standard templates?  Currently that information is entered as a text box on each design.  Where would it pull from?
