Holds?

Hi all,

I think I know the answer to this, but can holds be applied to a specific MOS?  What I've been asked to do is to restrict specific seats from one specific MOS.  That sounds like allocations to me, right?

Thanks,

Lesley

  • Hi Lesley,

I'm about 99% sure you are correct since hold codes are assigned by user group.

Here is a snippet from the hold code document:

"Breakable rights to hold codes are granted from the Tessitura Security application.  Within the security application, breakable rights can be assigned to user groups from either the Group screen or the Assign screen."

    and from Allocations document:

"An allocated seat can be reserved in orders with a mode of sale associated with the allocation code and optionally belonging to constituents with a constituent rank greater than or equal to the minimum constituent rank for that allocation code."

  • Hi Lesley,

You are correct.  If you need to restrict seats by MOS, you would create an allocation for the seats and associate it to the MOS in question.  Any MOS’s in which the seats should not be available should not be associated to the allocation.  This document should provide all the details you need:
