Conditional masking in Ticket design

'allo.

So: I'm really liking the conditional masking feature on Ticket Design. But here's my question and I wonder if you clever people can help:

Is it possible to create conditional masking based on the results on a different element ID (i.e., not the one you're writing in).

If so, how does this work in the syntax? I'd really like to suppress the row and seat number if the section description is "Standing" - ya get me?

  • Hi Chris,

Using conditional masking in a ticket element in Ticket Design only allows you to create a condition based on the value of that element.  So, you cannot substitute an empty string for row and seat based on the value of the section description.  You might want to investigate using user-defined ticket elements for the row and seat instead of the standard ones.  Because the information for a user-defined element comes from SQL code, the value of the element could be conditionally based on any other information in the lineitem.  There is information for setting up user-defined elements in the Ticket Design documentation:
