Trying to find a way to run a donated 'in-kind' gift certificate through Tessitura for a winner of a silent auction. We can issue manually and not run through Tess, but when they call in to apply their voucher, we can't issue them a gift certificate without 'charging' a payment against our accounts. We could comp tickets but can't ever get it to balance to an even dollar amount. Any advice on how to still offer these vouchers to great community partners without confusing our books?
I know this is an old post, but I saw it when I was looking for something else. We build ticket donation voucher events to give to organizations and people call in to redeem them through out box office. We have a comp voucher price type that we use in both the voucher event and in the events it is good for. I hope this helps!
