Does your organization break out the facility fee on tickets?
We're likely going to revamp our ticket designs (we do currently break it out, fwiw) and I'm curious if there are orgs that do not.
We've had some internal dialogue on what exactly "face value" of a ticket means anymore these days - but does it not seem a little odd to list this incremental fee when most companies aren't putting the more substantial surcharges on those same tickets?
Thanks for any feedback!
Dave
We do not - the facility fee is set up as a price layer, and the face value of the ticket includes the fee. We do charge a separate per-ticket transaction fee for web and phone orders which is not printed on tickets - we have that policy posted on our general policies page but we waive it in a lot of circumstances
We had it separate the very first year we had a facility fee but that was almost 20 years ago. We switched to having it imbedded in the ticket price in about 2005 because people thought they could get rid of it by coming to the window, like per ticket fees. All of our marketing material includes a small note underneath prices that say **Prices include a $4.00 facility fee.
