Allowing split pays extending past season start

Hello,

We typically require all subscriptions to be paid in full before issuing tickets and allowing patrons to see shows. On the rare instance when we have granted special permission, we use the invoice method to pay off the sub while payments continue.

Our Managing Director has asked me to see what other theatres do, as we're anticipating more patrons will need payment flexibility next season.

Do you allow people to attend shows before the subscription is paid off? If you do, do you send the entire package to them at the beginning of the season or just provide individual tickets until the remainder is paid off? Do you use the invoice payment method or do something different? Do you have any other rules surrounding it?

Thanks!

  • We print and send season tickets before they are paid in full. We accomplish this by paying off the order with an invoice payment method so the tickets are "paid" and can be printed. The money is then continually collected using the invoice billing feature rather than the order billing feature. We allow a monthly or a two pay plan with the final monthly being paid in January of the current season, well before the final show.

    Thanks!
