Hello,
We typically require all subscriptions to be paid in full before issuing tickets and allowing patrons to see shows. On the rare instance when we have granted special permission, we use the invoice method to pay off the sub while payments continue.
Our Managing Director has asked me to see what other theatres do, as we're anticipating more patrons will need payment flexibility next season. Do you allow people to attend shows before the subscription is paid off? If you do, do you send the entire package to them at the beginning of the season or just provide individual tickets until the remainder is paid off? Do you use the invoice payment method or do something different? Do you have any other rules surrounding it?Thanks!
We send the patron(s) their tickets 7 days prior to the performance date, and once the subscription is completely paid off, we send them the remaining tickets.
Do you just specifically pay off the early productions first and print those separately of the sub order?
We do use the invoice payment method and then set up the recurring payments with the invoice biling feature, but we print all of the tickets, and hold them at the Box Office, to mail out at the specified time. This way, if a patron pays off their invoice early, we can just mail them the rest of their tickets at that time. We just have flexibility with this feature. Also, if a patron's card declines, we can hold onto the tickets until they provide a new card to process.
