Hello,
We are beginning the process of looking at a new phone provider and are looking at the possibility of it connecting to Tessitura to populate the name of a guest based on the phone number. I experienced this at a different Tessitura organization I was at a hundred years ago now and it wasn't an awesome connection. So...I thought I'd see if anyone has done this. I should mention we are a RAMP client so that adds some complexity to the equation.
Any thoughts are welcome.

Let me guess, was this a Shoretel "Easy POP" integration? Yes, not awesome. It still exists today, in more of less the same form as it always has. Hard to imagine it would work with RAMP.
Ah, the Shoretel years. I am glad we shut down our server 5 years ago and moved to a new phone system. Could not be happier.

I'm curious, what system? Phone systems seem to me to be uniformly similar in their horribleness, especially on the back end.
3CX. It is far from perfect, too. But all things considered, for every 10 Shoretel issues I had, I have only 1 3CX issue. Honestly, the worst part was making sure that we bought the right new phones to work with it. But once we got the line on the right manufacturers and models that would work well and did what we needed, it has been just fine.
The biggest issue actually is that the admin console hides admin users from other admin users; so when I make a change that needs to be applied to admins, I have to tell the other admins to go in and do that to their own accounts, too. But considering how rare that is? A trade-off I will gladly take.

Admin data hidden from other admins. Genius! :-)
The hilarious thing is that it was not like that for the first two years. That feature was part of an UPGRADE they gave us. Wherein we all proceeded to the 3CX forums to announce how idiotic of a change that was. No resolution as of this moment. But again, given everything else with which I had to deal in the past, I can handle this.
Does 3CX connect to Tessitura through the API to populate assumed guest info found in Tessitura? Also...I do think it was the Shortel Easy Pop but it was so long ago and I hated it so much....I blocked it out of my memory.
They do not have a standard Tessitura integration; to be honest, I am not even sure I know of another Tessitura organization that uses 3CX. And, being straight with you, our Box Office has never had the volume or issues that have required us to integrate in that manner, so I never went too far down the road of investigating. At some point, I plan to look at this, but I have been busy enough that I have never gotten to it.
That said, I know that 3CX has a custom integration option. They have a documentation page here which seems to indicate that, while it obviously requires a fair bit of set-up here (https://www.3cx.com/docs/crm-integration/), that it should be able to work with a REST API.
