Non-Traditional Renewals

Hi all!

There's been a lot of talk here lately about starting a renewal campaign for a subscription season that is pretty different from our usual fixed seat only process. We likely won't know programming or even necessarily locations before the ideal onsale date as we're exploring a variety of outdoor venues. It clearly won't be a traditional rollover kind of renewal, so I'm trying to figure out what might work best for both our limited staff and our patrons.

How would you handle a renewal process like this? Have you had success with flex packages or a sort of "down payment" style option where people pay before knowing all of these details? There's a lot of talk about ticket vouchers among my staff. I want to hear successes, horror stories, anything that might help me make a recommendation on how to move forward with this.
