Hello,
Has anyone had any sucess in using the amazon.com method on their website? Basicially, "if you put this in your cart, you might like this!"
Do patrons take advantage of this method?
How many suggestions do you typically give?
If you are not the presenter, how do you approach the presenters about linking their show with another?
How do you report on the success of this method?
Any insight would be great...thanks!

Becci,
We do have suggestive selling on our website. We use Tessitura Network Express Web (TNEW) and have had help from consulting to edit our lwp_validate_cart script to suggest specific items when a ticket is placed in the shopping cart. What we do however isn’t really much like the amazon.com method.
What we do is suggest parking and selected performances (so to be added it dining). The patron is prompted with a page asking if they’d like to purchase a parking space to go with their ticket purchase (we have our own parking garage). For some subscription purchases, we also suggest a performance ticket for a production that is not part of the regular packages.
I’m more than happy to explain further offline if you’d like.
