Unseated Flex Packages

Hi all - we are currently selling our subscriptions into flex packages that are unseated. However, this makes it quite easy to oversell the performance. Is anyone aware of a way to remove the performances from the flex packages for sales in-house? We don't want to remove take performances off sale, as we then cannot return/modify tickets. Thanks!

  • Not sure if this will work for your set up or not, but we control this using allocations - our web sales looks for seats in either the Tier 1 or Tier 2 allocation depending on whether they're buying a Tier 1 or 2 package, and if we want to remove a show from web sales, we just wipe that allocation off the map. It doesn't prevent Tess users from continuing to sell it on the box office side, but it'll mean the website can't select that date if the right allocation isn't available.

  • More specifically, during the unseated phase of selling, we have one control seat in each tier - so if we want to stop sales, it's really easy because we just have to change the allocation on that control seat. even if we have a seating map for the show, we don't put allocations on it until we're ready to allow people to choose specific seats.

  • Thanks, Erin! We can actually stop them online; we're just trying to figure out how to fix them to disappear from flex packages in-house.
