Hello My Friends.
I hope this finds everyone well, safe and sane.
I'm wondering if anyone is using taxonomy for classifying there events?
Currently, I use the Type function in event setup when building performances. I would like to expand the classification further using interest. My goal to build a robust segmentation engine to use with List Manager when looking to target patrons with similar interests based on their buying behavior.
For Instance: In the below example the Type = Classical Music. I then would like use interests to possible tag the event with 20th Century; Violinist; Soloist.
If anyone is using taxonomy I'd love to chat with you and if you're not and interested, let's chat too. I'm looking to discuss all and any genre using classifications for events.
Thanks.DeFroda
Our keywords are broken out into different categories, like setting, language, time period, and content themes. We also use the production elements themselves to parse out different kinds of programming. So for example a gallery tour might fall into production elements like this: Public Programs > Adult & University > Walk In Tour > Specific Tour Date. If you want to talk more in depth, feel free to email me at jhammer@wexarts.org.
Very Interesting. Thanks for this approach Joanna.
