I'm looking for a report that will give me the total amount of monies refunded for a particular performance.
I've tried the Transactions by Posting report but this includes orders where money has been refunded from the performance and then either dontaed or held as a credit by the customer.
Any suggestions/pointers?

It's not a report, but there is a widget in the Cancellation Impact Tracking dashboard in Analytics called Ticket Refunds by Production Season. I tweaked it to filter only the relevant seasons and Payment Methods, and break by Payment Method Type (On Account vs. Credit Card) — it shows as a bar chart, but when I hover over the bars, it shows the values; or you can export the values as a csv file. I'm sure you could also change the filter to just Performance(s) instead of a Production Season(s), and/or change the view to a table.
