Hello everyone!
We are bringing on a new organization to our Consortium and today we discussed the use of QuickSale. They have a cafe/small restaurant style setup rather than a standard concessions and so they had some specific questions on how the following might be/could be handled. Thought I'd throw it out there if anyone has any thoughts or ideas:
1. Running open tabs: Folks like to purchase but then pay at intermission or the end of the night, leaving a CC or something but not closing out the tab until later. I know that orders can be left open without payment, but how easy than from the TRBO QuickSale set up is it to retrieve those orders? If using the GenPublic setting too so you don't need all Constituent information, how do you differentiate one order from another.
2. Gratuity: How can folks add gratuity after the payment is made, or can it only be added before hand with a button?
3. Table #: They do use a table # system if folks are ordering food for it to be delivered, anywhere on the order this could be added (again working in the TRBO QuickSale setup). I didn't see notes on the screen.
Thanks for any feedback!

Hi Maureen -
As you know, Tessitura is not a restaurant system, so much of what you've inquired about is not possible. Let me breakdown a few details.
1. Running Open Tabs - Using TRBO Quicksale, you are only able to create new orders. It is not possible to open existing orders in TRBO. Additionally, in terms of leaving a credit card on file, the General Public constituent is automatically excluded from credit card storage and tokenization settings, in order to retire the risk of charging the wrong credit card.
2. Gratuity - Tessitura doesn't support a method of authorizing cards for one amount and then allow the user to adjust and settle a different amount later. Once a payment is made, adding any new amounts would need to be paid by a second charge. This is true in both the application and in TRBO.
3. Table # - There's no obvious place in TRBO to note this information, other than to configure a free performance with price types or zones to denote the table number. TRBO does not provide any open-ended note fields.
I hope that helps to answer your questions.

Thanks Maggie! Hope you are doing well. I figured this but wanted to confirm. I'll let the org know and we can go from there. Could be best to reserve TRBO more for their concession stand sales and look at another system for restaurant sales.
