How can we reverse the credit card transaction from constituent's account without refunding them any money

we have a customer that received a chargeback from the bank.  We want to reverse the credit card transaction from their account without refunding them any money since it was already reversed by the bank.  Do you know if Tessitura is capable of doing an entry to adjust this customer’s account?

  • I think it depends on how you have your payment methods set up - I'd have to refer you to someone who works more on the finance side of things, but from our box office's point of view, when that gets reported we have a payment type called "Chargeback" and we 'refund' the tickets to that payment rather than back to the original form of payment - that frees up the seats/tickets and balances the order. Like I said, I'm on the box office side, you'd need to ask a Finance person to get more info about how Tess reconciles that against your payment gateway and so on
