Null Printer on a Mac?

With moving our box office off-site (hurray for RAMP!), some of our ticket agents are using Macbooks and we're not sure how to create a null printer in a Mac. RAMP works great on a Mac, but the printer thing has us stymied. Has anybody tried this? What did you do?

  • Here at LSC, we have thought about this problem.  We poked at the issue a bit and have given up.  It turned out to be more of a newsnece for use that mostly showed up during testing.  (unlike your senario I suspect.)

However, if you would like to work on this let us know. The idea would be to work on a way to get a printer Tessitura thinks through citrix is a text printer we think.  We also tried to poke around with the Boka Macintosh Printer Drivers.  One of the big hurtles is that we are not clear what the Tessitura client is technically looking for to identify a printer as a "null printer".  If I remember correctly what we ended up geting as feedback from support was that technically, Macintoshes are not supported.
