UMLAUTS - How to get them to print out on Boca Ticket Stock

Hello-

We have a new event that has a umlaut over the U

DÜNYA

I cannot get this to work in Ticket Design. I tried changing the font to Font 13 per documentation, but that does not work. I either get a black rectangle or just the letter U.

I tried copying and pasting from a word document; I tried doing Control+Shift+ : then typing a u.

Can anyone help me figure out what to type into Ticketing Setup to get the umlaut to work?

  • Hi Jessica,

I have the answer!  You need to use font 13, but then you also need to put this code in the corner of your ticket at 0, 0.

    <TRE><TT4>

It won't show up on the ticket, but it will help the boca printer to understand the umlaut and other special characters!  There is an old forum post where I asked this question too, and someone else had figured out this trick!

    Thanks,

    Liz

  • Wow-  that worked!! I would have NEVER known how to do this. Thank you.

Question: because I didn't want to mess up my "main" ticket design, I copied and it and adjusted the font to 13 and put this code on the new one - that I only attached to this one performance. Do you usually put this coding on all your ticket designs?

Thank you for the quick help!!
