Stimare printers

Hi Scott,

We recently changed from BOCA to Stimare, for similar reasons, ours kept getting upset at ticket dust!.

We had some really troubles getting them initially installed but I suspect that was down to our PCs from than the software/printers themselves. We've experienced some odd things, like the font not printing onto a ticket for a certain user but again, I really think this is down to the PC set up and not the printers. 

We have 3 and they all seem to be pretty sturdy and survived the panto season here. I would say that the support from Stimare has been quite impressive, due to all the PC issues I had to call them quite a lot and they were very helpful.

We kept our BOCAs as our back ups, in case the others need servicing.

Thanks for that info! After looking at pricing of both the units and the stock a little more we wound up buying a test unit from Practical Automation, who was recommended to us by another nearby Tessitura member organization. The box office doesn't want it because it's too large and doesn't have any internal storage for stock, so we may circle back to Stimare eventually.
