Re-using a Sales Layout with a new Season

Hello all,

We are relatively new to using Tessitura and will be experiencing our 1st rollover on Jan 1.  Is there a quick way to re-use my currently Quick Sales layout without having to individually/manually update the Season and Production Season assigned to each button? Is there a utility that I can run that will update that info the morning of Jan 1 to roll everything over in a batch?

Many thanks,

--Gary

  • Hello Gary, unfortunately, there is no utility that will update your QuickSale buttons. What I do is I Copy each of the layouts and rename them with the next FY at the end (or beginning of the layout name). You then change settings on each button to the next FY versions of the performance(s). This doesn't take that long.

You should test your new layout(s); however, when you change the default layout on a MOS, it immediately changes it for all users. In other words, do your testing either before or after hours (or let your staff know that the QuickSale layout will not work (be correct) while you are testing). When you test your layout(s), if you have any performance/package relative buttons, make sure that the Edit Date box is checked for the MOS. This will allow you to change the order date and test the relative buttons.

The goal of all this is to have all of your new FY layouts good to go so that all you have to do is change the settings for the default layout on your MOS(s) (either after you close on 12/31 or before you open on 1/1).

    Make sense?
