Tracking Ticket Vouchers

Hello! We offer our staff and volunteers a series of main stage vouchers throughout the course of the season and were hoping to hear if other venues do this as well, and if so, how you track them. We have tried a few different ways. This year each set of earned vouchers was entered as a new order. They appeared like a general admission ticket. When a volunteer or staff member redeemed their vouchers a second order was placed, the price type was changed to voucher, and then the vouchers themselves were deleted out of the original order. While this cleaned things up for reporting our staff found it tricky as volunteers could end up with dozes of potential voucher orders. How do you track your vouchers? Any help would be greatly appreciated! 

  • We use punch cards that we set up for each performance, and what discounts they are entitled to. They can redeem the discounts over the phone, or in person, but we don't give them the tickets without getting their punch cards. Then we punch which discounts they've used. We've been receiving a lot of positive feedback from the staff because it also helps them keep track of what they have, and what they've used.
