Using CSI's for the First Time, Help!

My organization transitioned to Tessitura late last summer and as we are gearing up for our second season with Tess, I would like for my staff to begin using CSI's. (Note: I work at Ithaca College, so my staff are all students).  At this point, we haven’t used them at all, but I know there is so much they can do. I am working to determine what some of the “best practices” are for utilizing CSI’s. Specifically, I’m looking to use CSI’s for things like accessibility needs, seating requests and to track communication between our patrons and my staff. If anyone is willing to share their CSI "trees" (Categories, Activity Types, origins, resolutions etc), that would be tremendously helpful. I'm looking for as many different sets of examples as I can get. Feel free to directly email me at mblau@ithaca.edu. Thank you!

  • I'll get this posted. We need to review our map as we've had a huge upswing in Education and Outreach online forms Slight smile

It's a little crazy at the moment but promise I'll write a script for this

  • Hi Heath! Can you shoot me how you set up your CSI's to capture the education and outreach online info?  We are trying to do that right now to capture campers names with our online classes.  Thank you!

  • Hey Kelly.  Long time no see.

It's a simple aux form on TNEW but we have a little bit of Java script so that if the price is $0 and the the ticket range is 0-1 then it adds 1 to the cart and makes the price selection vanish so they only have a form. It happens as the screen loads so you don't have to worry about selecting 1 etc for things that are details only.  Added advantage is that they have to create an account so we capture all the details and TNEW sends a conformation and we add dynamic email content for anything the edu dept want to say.

All that gets saved in a CSI and I developed a little report that spits out all the CSIs into a grid with one line per applicant and the questions at the top.  Actually I just rejigged it today to make it a little more streamlined and clever.  (IMHO the layout of CSIs is a bit broken.  Colon as a delimiter? sheesh)

We have a build form that the departments fill in for us and we build it for them (us being the ticketing/CRM/lack of sleep department)

We started on this (by we I mean the overly enthusiastic idiot writing this) taking applications for our Company Dancers and our Academy Places.  So that's the way I got every department using Tessitura.

Out School Matinee's form might be a good example as you've got your own and buckley's chance of actually attending
