How do you manage tickets that are valid for certain age groups only?
We offer greatly discounted tickets for Under 30s, and we limit the order to pick up at box office only so we can check identification with a birth date. It seems to work, but some people get frustrated with it.
I have heard of others asking for birthdate during checkout. Some don't limit delivery methods.
What do you do?

We do the same as you do. I've worked at some orgs that at subscription time ask for proof of concession (DOB, Seniors Card, Pensioners etc) at time of purchase in order to send out tickets. My wish would be to collect that data (attribute) and then free that individual for PAH/mail tickets for future online orders with that concession.
