We’re considering adding a graphic to some of our tickets. I'd appreciate any thoughts on the following:
Thanks!
ScottBAM
We use graphics on our tickets here and it's basically a ticket design for every show or run of shows that need a graphic logo on the ticket.
We've not had any issues with printing speeds at all, but you do need to make sure that where ever your graphics are stored that all users that are printing can access that file location or they will get error messages and the tickets will print without graphics.
I can send over an example of a logo that we use via email so you can see what we do.

Caryl,
Are y'all on RAMP?
Hi Tess,
We are not, we host ourselves.
Hi Scott,
We've used our logo on tickets - we print very few (yes, we're an anomaly) and sometimes run out of logo ticket stock but have generic as a backup. We have a set of ticket designs that have the logo as a ticket design element.
We're on RAMP and haven't seen any issue with printing speed - we only have 2 ticket printers so I can't speak for anyone with many printers.
Happy to share our logo file (and any insights) - if you'd like it, email me at martin.keen@nida.edu.au

I've not noticed any speed change on our printed graphic tickets. As the graphic is a specific element it'll appear every time the ticket design is used like hard coded Text elements. I can send you one of the pcx files (Bitmap Graphic Logo) we use if you like.
Good to know--thanks Caryl! If you do have an example of what you use, I'd love to see it.
