We are partnering with a couple local restaurants on a bundle package, so people can buy tickets to a show and dinner nearby. Since we need to control sales (to make sure tickets are available and sold in real time), we plan to sell these through Tessitura and then just send the restaurants their cut each month or something. To actually sell them in Tess though, we were considering using the packages feature (since we don't use it now--we don't have subscriptions). Has anyone used packages for this kind of bundle before? Or have any other cool and/or easy ways they did something like this? I figured it would be easiest to just create a new price type for each show that includes the bundle option, but wasn't sure if there were any pitfalls to that. Feedback and ideas welcome!
For context, the bundles would include tickets for a specific show night (the constituent would pick the performance during the order) and one of two or three dinner options that are all different prices and restaurants.

Hi Carrie,
I think you could definitely set this up as a package.
In order for it to work, you will need to create an event for each restaurant location under the same season as your performances (if you use separate seasons).
Once those are created, make a performance group that includes the performances and the restaurants that the promotion will be used for, do not attach a facility to it.
Go to packages and create a Flex package with the performance group you just created. Make your minimum performance 2 and you max 2, one for each.
Then just make sure each price type is available in the MOS you will be using, an you should be all set.
When you sell it make sure the package is selected and it will prompt you/reps to select 2 from the list, and seat each one.
