Servicing BOCA's Periodically

Does any other organizations send their BOCA's back to the company every few years to be serviced? Or only if they need repairs? From the website, it seems like they only offer service plans or repairs.

Thanks!

  • Thanks for the response. One of our BOCA's is not working, so we definitely have to send it back. Unfortunately, we don't have the packaging, so it's been difficult/costly to find the materials to return.

For your onsite servicing, is there anything you do besides cleaning them?

  • We usually inspect the print heads and all the wiring, just to make sure.  Our IT director also will test the printer's network settings to make sure it's connecting properly (since our university's networks change fairly frequently), but other than the basic or intermediate steps there's nothing too special that we do onsite.  I can say that in the last four years we've only had to send one or two to BOCA to get fixed and only one has outright died on us so we'll have to replace that one.  And that's out of 8 BOCA's, 3 large, 5 small that we are constantly unplugging and replugging so that we can transport them to all of our various campus venues and then back to our main offices.  Hope this helps!
