One of our companies has an early bird discount for season tickets. When we rollover their season, we roll into the Early Bird discount price type so they are paying the correct price online when they login and pull up the seated/unpaid order on their account.
This year, when the EB discount was over and the season switched to the non-discounted prices we manually updated all the unrenewed orders to the new price type, so when patrons renewed on line they got the updated price.
This is obviously very labor intensive so we are looking for other solutions. We tried adding multiple price maps to a common price type which would change the price on schedule. This works great for new orders, but for the rolled over orders the price did not update (which is great logic for all other purposes except this situation). :(
Has anyone written a procedure, or is there an existing procedure that can be run to update the seated/unpaid orders to reflect the current valid price map for that price type?
Has anyone found other creative solutions to handle early bird discounts on renewals?

Instead of manually changing the price types after a specific deadline, why not cancel all the unrenewed orders and re-roll them using different price types?
