Add-On Performance for Subscription Package

Hello,

We are in the process of building our upcoming Season Subscription Packages.  This year we would like to do the following and are looking for recommendations/answers about whether or not it is even possible:

Step 1:  A Patron puts the Subscription Package in the Cart

Step 2: A  Pop-Up/Add-On appears suggesting they can purchase an additional Show for a specific discounted Price

Step 3:  They either add the Show and Checkout or they don't add the Show and Checkout

Is this even possible?  If so, is this through Pricing Rules or another method?

Thanks!

  • Hi Jolene -

This is something that would be super easy to do with pricing rules. I have done something similar for my subscribers. I use a message only pricing rule targeting anyone who is buying a subscription that I want to be eligible for the special pricing. In my messaging, I include a link to the product that I want them to get at a discounted price, and either have a promo code embedded in the link to activate the price, or create another pricing rule to trigger the price change for the new product.

One thing that is possible here though, is that if the person buying decides they don't want the subscription after all, but they do still want the discounted product, there is not an easy way of preventing them from still getting that product if they remove the subscription from their cart.

    I hope that helps!
