Our Group Sales Manager is having problems that I think are related to her new Boca printer versus Tessitura, but I'm not sure how to isolate the issue. What's happening is that when she prints orders (especially large ones) the same ticket prints multiple times (same ticket number and everything). She also has instances where only the bar code prints on the ticket and nothing else. I checked the things out in back end through SQL and the seats that are printing multiple times only show one ticket number and don't show as re-printed.
We're on v15.0.4, but she was also having this issue in 12.5.1 so it's not related to the upgrade.
Have you encountered this issue? What solution worked? Where else should I be looking for problems within Tessitura?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Sara
I had a similar problem about a year ago when we were on 12.5. Is she printing tickets for an event with a map that has recently been created/changed/updated in any way? I was having the issue because some seats hadn't been assigned a contiguity in the facility, or it matched another location on the map. The tickets that would print multiples or just barcodes were the ones that had those issues on the map.
Hope that helps!
Same Jordan, a few years a go a new facility was built by our Ticketing Coordinator and the contiguity wasn't done - to say our Boca went crazy, is a bit of an understatement!!!
Thank you Jordan and Bec. I've made changes to the facility since we're re-zoning for next season. I'll see if somehow the contiguity got messed up. Fingers crossed that should be a simple fix.
Everything came up clean when I checked Validate Completeness. Did you find your contiguity issues there or did you look elsewhere?
I believe that I did see it when I checked Validate Completeness, but I'm not positive. How large is the venue you are checking on? If it is manageable, it might be worth checking contiguity manually.
