Sellers' Information + Synopsis

Hi Ticketing Peeps,

I'm curious to know whether many people are using the 'Synopsis' in Tess for Sellers' Information? If not, what do you use, and if you do, do you find it effective? We use it, and think it's quite an efficient way of centralising show-specific information within Tessitura, but wonder what other folk use.

Thx

  • Hi Vanessa, we use it for a combination of things, but mainly for details surrounding the Production as a whole, as well as cross-sell or up-sell information. For instance, in our Production of Billy Elliot, we've listed the play synopsis, as well as information on 3 events that patrons attending Billy Elliot may also be interested in attending. Our reps find it very helpful to tie these events together.

We also use the Sales Notes on a particular performance to cross sell and up sell other events of interest in that day and/or any notes that our staff need to pass along to a patron - for instance our Backstage Tours require climbing steep stairs so we have that info there to ensure our patrons are being told by our staff.

  • Hi Michele, that's good to know, thank you. I like the idea of adding the suggestions for upsell/cross-sell into the sales notes too. I think it's helpful to have all the show-specific info in one place- nothing like having it at your fingertips when you're on the 'front line'?!  It would be even better if there was a way of modifying the synopsis field to be larger- if anyone out there has any tips for this?! Thanks, Vanessa :)
