Applying Discounts

Can't seem to be able to apply a discount. Here is what I did.

• 1. Created a $10 off discount.
• 2. Joined it the price type.
• 3. Added a performance/package (I tried both).
• 4. Selected Price Type and Zone.
• 5. Seated the performance.
• 6. Select price details from Line item and Sub Line item (once again, I tried both).
• 7. Selected the discount from the drop down

My discount shows up under the discount column but the price does not change. My original total still matches my total at the bottom of the price details screen. Any ideas?
